What does it mean to leave one place and arrive at another? What happens in between, what gets lost on the way and what can be newly found? In her film, director Jola Wieczorek follows her families history and memories, trying to get a better understanding of her parents choices as well as the political and social landscapes that led to their migration in the 1980ies. The discussion brings together different perspectives on migration and diasporic experiences in Europe then and now.
